Why Most Resets Don't Work (And What to Do Instead)
Mar 17, 2026
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been talking more about digestion, daily rhythm and the small shifts that can make a real difference in how we feel.
And this is usually the point where people start thinking about doing some kind of reset.
But here’s the thing most people have experienced:
They try something extreme.
They cut everything out.
They follow something rigid for a short period of time.
And for a moment, it feels like it’s working.
Until it doesn’t.
Why most resets don’t last
Most resets fail because they rely on intensity instead of consistency.
They ask a lot, too quickly.
And while the body may respond at first, it’s not something most people can sustain which leads right back to old patterns.
What actually works
What tends to work better is something much simpler:
A short period of structure.
Not restriction.
Not extremes.
Just enough structure to:
-
support digestion
-
stabilize energy
-
create a rhythm your body can follow
This looks like:
-
consistent meals
-
more plant-forward foods
-
increased fiber and hydration
-
simple habits repeated daily
Nothing complicated.
But done consistently, it makes a difference.
Why structure matters
Most people don’t struggle because they don’t know what to do.
They struggle because they don’t have a way to apply it consistently.
Structure removes the guesswork.
It gives you something to return to — even on the days when you don’t feel motivated.
A different way to approach a reset
Instead of asking,
“What can I cut out?”
Try asking:
“What would support me right now?”
That shift alone changes everything.
What this can look like in practice
A reset doesn’t have to be complicated.
It can be:
-
starting your day with hydration
-
building meals around plants and fiber
-
eating in a way that supports your energy
-
keeping things simple enough to repeat
Small shifts, done consistently.
If you’ve been feeling off…
Low energy.
Sluggish digestion.
Out of rhythm with how you’re eating.
It may not be that you need something extreme.
You may just need to come back to a structure that supports you.
A place to start
This is exactly why I created the Spring Glow-Up Reset.
It’s a 14-day reset designed to help you come back to simple, nourishing habits that support digestion, energy, and daily rhythm.
Not extreme.
Not restrictive.
Structured.
If you’ve been looking for a way to reset without overcomplicating things, this is a good place to start.

You don’t need to do everything.
You just need a starting point.
And something you can actually stick with.
