There’s something special about creating a recipe that lights up the room. I always try to share a fresh juice with my students after yoga class. Yesterday I threw together a juice recipe based on what I had in the fridge. Everyone loved it, but one student in particular, Mrs. Nettie, kept asking for the recipe. Her joy was contagious and it only felt right to name this juice after her. So here it is: Mrs. Nettie’s Green Glow Juice.

This juice is hydrating, cleansing and uplifting — perfect after yoga or anytime you need a burst of plant-powered energy. The sweetness of mango and apple balances the herbs and citrus creating a blend that’s bright, refreshing, and nourishing.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch celery

  • 1 bunch cilantro

  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and pitted

  • 8 green apples

  • 4 orange, peeled

  • 1 lemon, peeled

  • peeled

Directions

  1. Wash all produce thoroughly.

  2. Cut the apples, celery, and citrus into juicer-friendly pieces.

  3. Run everything through your juicer.

  4. Pour into a glass, stir, and enjoy immediately for maximum nutrients!
