Rewind & Catch Up

I started Eat Plants & Prosper after both my oldest daughter and good friend, Cynthia, encouraged me to start a blog. They knew I had a story I wanted to share with the goal of helping people achieve holistic wellness. Starting a blog was foreign to me though. I had basic WordPress skills (ok, what’s less than basic?). Working in media and marketing I had dabbled in using it but knew barely enough to be dangerous. Since launching EPP, I’ve had to get up to speed pretty quickly to be able to continue to post content and maintain the site.

There have been lots of late nights and early mornings as I learn the right cadence of writing and posting. I thought I had it pretty much figured out until my Mom called me two weeks ago. We were catching up like always and then she broke into, “How are things going with the blog? I haven’t seen you post anything in a while.”

I paused for a minute, confused. I had been posting every week since launching on 11/11. Like I said, lots of late nights and early mornings. And NONE of my content was hitting subscriber inboxes?

I’ll spare you the details but I’ve been around the moon and back the last two weeks trying to figure out how to email you when I post something new. I think I’ve got it. The bigger point is that anytime you start something new there are naturally going to be some kinks that need to be worked out. But don’t let that stop you. It doesn’t have to be perfect. The journey and the lessons are worth the bumps along the way.
